But in a hockey system populated with old-school veterans of the game who have always used the same management strategies, are teams making the most of the resources available to them?

Down in the South Division, Calgary plays Foothills, while in the North, Leduc and Sherwood Park clash. Both series began this weekend. The Calgary Buffaloes swept their city counterparts, the Calgary Northstars, in three straight games winning 3-0, 6-1 and 4-3 in the semis.
The Alberta Pond Hockey championship is back, now with bantam and midget A divisions. The championship is held in the ‘Peace region’ that extends from Peace River to the county of Northern Lights.
