Nicholas Carafa

Nicholas had the help of an Everyone Loves Raymond episode to realize sports journalism was a dream he wanted to pursue. Following that magical evening of his Grade 11 year, he has since graduated from Ryerson University's journalism program and has become the public address announcer as well as a freelance journalist for the Greater Toronto Hockey League.

His passion for hockey stems from following the Toronto Maple Leafs for as long as he can remember. That's what inspired him to start covering the GTHL. Sure, everyone loves to watch the superstars take the ice every Saturday night, but it's the journey and the dedication needed to get to that level of greatness that intrigues him. Connor McDavid, Max Domi and John Tavares all had to start somewhere. Watching players in their minor-midget year and seeing them develop into great men and great hockey players is what defines his appreciation for the game with every passing season.
